The NYC DOE Division of Multilingual Learners (DML) is led by Deputy Chief Academic Officer Mirza Sánchez-Medina.

The division sits within the Office of the CAO and encompasses teams that support and advocate for our city’s multilingual learners and immigrant students through:

• Postsecondary readiness

• Research, instruction, and professional learning

• School support and implementation

• Family and community partnerships

• Continuous learning
